The Issue

For over 75 years, Pinehurst Surgical Associates (PSA) has offered the highest level of specialty and quality care across western North Carolina.

With eight locations already serving the region, PSA again desired to expand their footprint into the nearby Fayetteville market to further their patient reach.

PSA’s goals were that the facility be both highly visible and well-placed within the community.

The Solution

Davis Moore conducted a market evaluation and extensive property search.

Leveraging the increase in retail vacancy, we were able to assist PSA in the purchase of a vacant Rite-Aid facility. Davis Moore has assisted multiple clients with leasing or purchasing vacant drug stores to convert into ambulatory medical facilities. These former drug stores offer good visibility in heavily trafficked areas while also providing ample parking for medical users.

The Benefit

PSA’s new facility is located at one of Fayetteville’s most prominent intersections, in a busy retail corridor.

Using peer data from similar engagements, we were able to negotiate competitive economic terms for PSA and their physicians to invest in real estate ownership.
