Case Study

Salix Pharmaceuticals

01.

The Issue

Salix grew rapidly from a small startup of 20 to over 200 people, with plans to double to more than 400. Like many of our clients, the pharmaceutical company needed a real estate strategy to match their business plan and a space where they could continue to grow and recruit top talent.

02.

The Solution

Ahead of a successful relocation, we performed a major facility analysis and assisted with the relocation of existing tenants. The assignment actually started years before the intended move date and included a stakeholder analysis and demographic studies.

03.

The Benefit

Salix relocated from Research Triangle Park (RTP) to a new home of approximately 180,000 square feet of Class A office space in Colonnade I & II in North Raleigh. The space was leased at a significant discount and we secured the rights to continue the company’s growth in a campus setting.
